JPSC-1 Scam: Ranchi’s ADM Rajeshwar Nath Alok and many others surrendered in CBI court
In the much talked about first JPSC appointment scam case, many people including Ranchi’s ADM Rajeshwar Nath Alok have surrendered in the CBI court. He has got regular bail on two personal bonds of Rs 10,000 each. He got anticipatory bail from the High Court. He was ordered to surrender in the CBI court and fill the bail bond.
Taking cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the CBI in this case, the court had issued summons to the accused. After this, the sword of arrest was hanging over the accused. In such a situation, to avoid arrest, the accused filed a petition and pleaded for anticipatory bail from the CBI court. But no one got bail from the CBI court. The CBI court rejected everyone’s anticipatory bail petition. After this, all the accused pleaded to the High Court for relief.
In such a situation, many accused including ADM Rajeshwar Nath Alok got bail from the High Court. On the orders of the High Court, the CBI started investigation in this case in the year 2012. Completing the investigation in 12 years, the CBI filed a charge sheet against 64 accused in the special court. Evidence of huge irregularities was found in the CBI investigation of the first JPSC appointment scam. Let us tell you that the people who got the appointment are getting promoted today and working as senior officers.
